Profile
"Albedo, an alchemist from Mondstadt in the service of the Knights of Favonius"
"Genius", "Kreideprinz" or "Captain of the Research Team" ... such titles and honors are of no importance to him when there is much more research to be done.
The pursuit of fortune and connections cannot match your heart's desire: to acquire the dark and limitless knowledge left behind by previous generations of scholars.
Appearance
According to Kaeya and Lisa, Albedo is a very attractive young man. Albedo is a young man with bright teal eyes with three points on the iris (similar to the alchemy table) and pale skin. She has ashen blonde hair that falls below her shoulders, partially tied back in a braided half ponytail. There is a gold diamond mark in the center of her neck.
Albedo wears a long white coat with short sleeves with a black hood, a gold chain at the back, and black and gold lining. It is unbuttoned but fastened with a black sash. Underneath this, he wears an indigo shirt and a pair of black shorts, along with plain black tights, black boots adorned to the thighs with silver details, and long black gloves with an orange bottom and gold details. He wears his Vision just below the collar of his shirt.
Personality
Albedo is described as a kind and popular figure in Mondstadt, as well as an alchemical genius. He pursues the "truth" of the world of Teyvat at the request of his teacher and appears to be able to create living organisms through his alchemical talents. Albedo is also good with children, as he gets along well with Klee, who considers him kind and patient, while he in turn sees her as a kind of younger sister.
Like Sucrose, Albedo spends most of her time as a recluse who shows a slight dislike for talking to others due to the problems necessary to maintain the social relationship; he doesn't stutter like his assistant.
Albedo is a talented artist, who initially took up the hobby to help with her experiments, but now she does it to relax. He works as an illustrator for Xingchiu, considering him a good author. Research and study everything that interests you, stating that you enjoy the feeling of enlightenment doing so. Once this feeling wears off, he quickly abandons what he was doing as the truth feels bittersweet to him. Keep this point of view when eating, preferring light and sweet dishes.
Despite being viewed positively by the people of Mondstadt, they know next to nothing about him, and he is secretive about his past. It is supposed to be a homunculus created by his teacher, since he curiously sees her as his creator, has no memory of his family and is considered of a different "substance" compared to the people of Teyvat. Due to the ancient and forgotten knowledge he possesses, he even considers himself a threat, with Venti and Dainsleif considering him dangerous for that reason.
History
Alchemy is an ancient art and many of its secrets have been lost to history. The few alchemy techniques known to the people of Mondstadt today are enough to put some broken things together, saving you money that you would have otherwise spent on glue. It was then that Albedo suddenly appeared and showed the true prowess of alchemy to everyone.
"The universe is the sky inverted and the earth is a dream lost in time. This is dust, the most basic form of complex life."
As if to provide evidence for this claim, Albedo lifted the ash from a burned flower that once grew on the head of a Dendro Slime. Seconds later, a Cecilia sprouted from the ash in that hand.
"And this ... is a new birth."
Character story 1
Albedo has a very important job within the Knights of Favonius, but she doesn't often appear in public.
Still, he doesn't have the weird and eccentric temperament that people tend to assume from academics. In fact, he is serious in all his dealings.
However, he is convinced that more energy is required to maintain established relationships with excessive enthusiasm.
As a result, Albedo's friendship equivalent involves maintaining an appropriate degree of distance. Whether locking yourself up at work or traveling and collecting materials, no one in Mondstadt knows how to find it.
Albedo's tendency to avoid social interactions does not make him a cold-hearted person.
He is sincere and glad to instruct his assistants, Timaeus and Sucrose. He is pleased to give his sketches to the citizens of Mondstadt.
However, she can't help but feel sincere disappointment that Lisa, despite all her great talents, has decided to remain a simple librarian.
Character story 2
"Albedo only entered Mondstadt because of her teacher's letter of recommendation."
On some level, this statement is true.
However, the doors of Mondstadt are always open to everyone, and a letter of recommendation is not strictly necessary. In fact, it could be argued that Albedo's life would have been much more comfortable without the letter.
This is because the recipient of the letter was the famous travel writer Alice, an old friend of Albedo's teacher Rhinedottir. After receiving the letter, Alice considered her requests.
"So Rhine said you'll need a lab ... and not one the size a civilian could build either. Hmm ... I know!"
And so, she threw him to the Knights of Favonius. The Knights' job is easy enough for Albedo, requiring only five percent of her energy. Albedo had imagined that the rest of her energy could be spent on experiments, with the full range of Knights gadgets at her disposal.
And yet ... Alice had a daughter, named Klee. Yes, "that" Klee.
"We will be a family from now on, treat her like a real little sister!"
From that day on, remedying Klee's disasters would consume most of Albedo's remaining energy ...
Character story 3
Albedo does not remember any blood relatives. From his birth, he was already venturing deep into the realms with his master.
Of course, Miss Alice, the Knights of Favonius and that traveler who had an idea of the stellar depths that surrounded them ... They are all important.
And yet, his teacher is undoubtedly the most special to him. For Albedo, she is his only relative. She was a cold and strict woman who raised him and taught him the secrets of alchemy.
"The universe is the dark essence of the true starry sky, and the earth is the accumulated memories of time and lives. The chalk: that's you. The earth is where alchemy gets its name, and is the basis of all life . And this ... "
She demonstrated her technique to him when a huge lifeform burst out of her cultivation tank in a shower of broken shards.
"... This is a new birth."
Character story 4
Albedo once led a simple and happy existence. It was a life free of considerations, but dull in its monotony. His purpose was focused on accompanying his teacher, executing her orders, and meeting her expectations.
But one day, in the heart of a dungeon, the teacher and the apprentice discovered an artifact known as The Heart of Naberius. From that moment on, his teacher disappeared, leaving nothing but a note, a letter of recommendation, and a classic text.
On the note was written: "Albedo, go to Mondstadt. Find my old friend Alice and give her the letter of recommendation. Complete her final assignment."
The classical text was one of the last extant manuscripts of the Opus Magnum, which her teacher had kept with her. If someone pushed the definition a bit, she'd left him another gift: Kreideprinz's title, and with it, the recognition that she had nothing more to teach him.
In the past, Albedo's assignments had always been very difficult. He had always believed with all his heart that his teacher would follow through on her threat to leave him should he fail. But this task she had left him was too difficult, beyond the limit of his abilities. Did this mean, then, that he was destined never to complete it and therefore never see his master again?
"Your final task: show me the truth and the meaning of this world."
Character story 5
The alchemy that Albedo masters is completely different from any of the arts practiced in the Seven Nations of Teyvat. Their lineage goes back to the nation of Khaenri'ah.
Khaenri'ah was an underground kingdom and its natural fauna was truly rare. As such, his alchemy focused more on creating life. This art of creation was known as "The Art of Khemia".
Albedo had found out about this in her youth by reading her teacher's notes. The next stage after "soil" is "chalk", which was also something his teacher had mentioned.
"Chalk is the immaculate land and it was used to make primordial man."
Now, Albedo understands alchemy in much greater depth than at the beginning, having also consolidated her understanding of knowledge.
"From the earth the chalk was born".
Albedo well understands the depth of this statement. Such incomprehensible statements are tied to the memory of their teacher. Her teacher was not her biological mother, but Albedo has no doubt that her life comes from her nonetheless.
"I hope I'm not overthinking things. When parents tell their children 'the meaning of this world ...' they must mean living a happy life, right?"
From time to time, Albedo finds herself reflecting on this feeling.
Albedo's artwork
Albedo developed her habit of drawing while traveling with her teacher.
At first, you would simply illustrate your notes. But eventually, he would discover that drawing the details helped him understand the physical composition of the objects he was examining, being of great use to his alchemical studies.
In fact, the drawing allowed him to enter a pleasant state of clarity, one in which all he had in mind were his observations and the work in front of him.
Thus, Albedo became a master artist without ever having received any formal training.
When he walks around Mondstadt, he likes to capture still life, particularly people in moments of joy.
Sometimes he even hands over his artwork to his unsuspecting "models", believing that passing enjoyment, crystallized in a single moment, is something to treasure.
Albedo continued to refine her skills in this way, until one day she was stunned by Inazuma's illustrations.
How is it possible that drawings of such generality possess such narrative power?
Amazed, he decided to try it himself.
... Finally, after collaborating with a certain novelist named Xingchiu, "A Legend of the Sword" was printed and published.
Unfortunately, it received moderate criticism, being criticized as "a dictionary with divine illustrations".
Vision
Getting a Vision was a little surprise for Albedo.
In fact, when he received it, he took one look at it before continuing with what he was doing earlier.
He hardly felt a surge of emotion, as if this was something to be taken for granted.
As far as he is concerned, his Vision is simply a tool with which he can conduct his research more conveniently.
What truly arouses joy in him is turning the unknown into the known.
One day, you will understand everything there is to know about this world, and the visions themselves are no exception.
